Dean Henderson Was rarely tested to make during the opening 45 but then tested from Arbër Hoxha’s bent shot. His sliding intervention on an Albanian attacker highlighted excellent reading of the game. Six out of ten

John Stones Pushed up the pitch on the ball, something he's known for before. On occasion was too casual on the ball with the tactic was shelved at half-time. Six

Dan Burn A nuisance on corners and free-kicks, per usual, perhaps is a replacement for his teammate in defense instead of paired with him. A careless ball after the break came close to a goal from the visitors. Six

Nico O’Reilly Another assured display from the youngster following his debut versus Serbia. A teammate failed to make the opportunity from an exquisite backheel behind the opposing backline. The left-back spot looks secure so soon. 7

Adam Wharton His maiden beginning in an England shirt. Somewhat loose in possession but his dangerous corners caused problems. A handy game manager available to the manager to utilize versus defensive opponents. Shown a yellow after a reckless challenge. 6

Declan Rice Crosses from dead balls and free kicks were dangerous. Enjoyed license to roam on the left only to be in an offside position when the ball arrived in front of goal. Granted a deserved substitution after an hour. 6/10

The star midfielder Operated in a forward role out wide and did plenty of the hard yards. Demonstrated moments of class and scuffed a shot wide. Replaced towards the end for Rogers, his rival, after receiving a caution. 7/10

The winger Was presented with the team's clearest opportunity before halftime, his shot excellently kept out from the opposing goalkeeper. As a teammate holding position, he had to provide width out wide but his crosses from the touchline were hit and miss. Replaced with 15 to go. 6

The captain The match-winner netting two more finishes at international level. The first a trademark close-range tap-in and the second a superb header after peeling away off his defender. Aged 32, his form is unwavering and the side stand a real opportunity in future competitions with him up top. 8/10

The attacker Found it tough to get into the game out wide. Was presented with a good opening after being played in by Bellingham however the keeper made the save. Rashford made much more of influence when substituted. 5
