Among those insights was to get the community involved early, and the developers started invite-only fan trials earlier this year.

Their "reaction was incredibly favorable," comments she.

One more missing component from Battlefield 2042 was a solo experience, which has been brought back in this version.

The UK studio project head Fas Salim is the one in charge of "ensuring those stages are as enjoyable and engaging as can be for the audience."

Regardless of claims that the scope of the title had put a strain on the multiple teams collaborating internationally to build the game, he is positive about the work.

"Collaborating with diverse cultures, varied heritages, it's a truly engaging atmosphere to be part of on a regular basis," he says.

"This whole strategy has been something new but also very exciting because we are working with people from all over the world."

Concerning the pressure on the crew, Fas says: "We feel pressure but at the same time it's exciting.

"It's a major undertaking. It's likely the most significant that the majority of the team have previously participated in."
